Welcome to Oleander Travel! I'm Niki Verkaik. My cradle stood in Cyprus, where I grew up under the Mediterranean sun. With my Dutch husband I moved to the Dutch polder — after more than 25 years I've become a little Dutch myself, while my husband now feels like a true Cypriot.
Those two worlds shape Oleander Travel: Cyprus and Greece holidays that are authentic and active, with the warmth of the island and the down-to-earth clarity of the Netherlands.
How it began
My Dutch husband was naturally very curious about Cyprus when we first met. We rented a four-wheel drive and a journey of discovery through my own country began. It was special to see Cyprus through his Dutch eyes — an experience I still use when composing trips.
I discovered that Cyprus has so much more to offer than beaches alone: overwhelming nature, villages I fell in love with, an authentic life amid the Cypriots. Years later I travelled around again — together with my mother, my third eye and inspirator — knocking on the doors of accommodations across the country.

We compose your trip: accommodations, rental car, flight advice and activities. Including destinations that aren't on the site.

You receive a tailor-made quote. Only when you're happy do we book — confirmation and invoice arrive by email.

Carefree travels
Travel documents by email, and along the way Niki and the local representatives are there for you.
Prefer to book your own flight, for instance to redeem air miles? No problem — including on fly-drives. Mention it in your request and you'll receive an offer for the accommodations and rental car only.
Love for the destinations
Oleander Travel offers door-to-door quality. Our accommodations — from authentic village houses and agriturismos to villas and five-star hotels — are regularly tested by ourselves. Car rental is arranged through local representatives, and flight advice is free of charge.
For Greece we partner with specialists covering the centre and north of the country, the Peloponnese and Crete. So you get the same personal quality everywhere.
Sustainable travel
As a member of the VvKR (Dutch Association of Small-scale Travel Organisations) we encourage conscious and sustainable travel. Through our partnership with Trees for All, Oleander Travel donates €10 per booking towards planting two trees.
