20 days in Jordan
Jordan at a relaxed pace
Twenty days give you room not only to see Jordan, but to experience it. This sample route combines cities and archaeology with nature reserves, desert, the Red Sea and a relaxed finish beside the Dead Sea.
Day 1–5 · Amman, Ajloun and the Jordan Valley
Start with two nights in Amman. Travel north to the green hills of Ajloun and stay in a lodge surrounded by nature. Return to Amman via Pella and the Jordan Valley for more time in and around the capital.
Day 6–9 · Dana and Little Petra
Spend two nights in the Dana reserve overlooking its mountain scenery, with time for a walk suited to your fitness and the season. Continue to a small camp in the area around Little Petra.
Day 10–12 · Petra
Two nights near Petra give you a full day to explore the famous rock-cut city without having to move on that same evening. We adapt the route through the site to the temperature, visitor levels and what you most want to see.
Day 13–14 · Wadi Rum
Stay for two nights in a Wadi Rum desert camp with a private bathroom. A four-hour 4WD journey through the desert landscape featured in the original route; extra walking or more time to pause can also be arranged.
Day 15–18 · Aqaba
Four nights near Aqaba follow the desert. Use these days to rest beside the Red Sea, snorkel or take a boat trip, depending on the weather, availability and your preferences.
Day 19–20 · Dead Sea
Finish with two nights beside the Dead Sea before your transfer for the journey home.
