Cyprus grand tour, authentic & active
This is our most-booked trip — and for good reason. In ten to fifteen days you'll see every face of Cyprus: the golden beaches of the east coast, the last divided capital of Europe, Byzantine churches high in the mountains and the untouched west around the Akamas. You travel at your own pace in a hire car, from one carefully chosen base to the next.
Highlights of this trip
- The sea caves and coastal path of Kavo Greco national park
- A day in Nicosia, walking across the Green Line between two worlds
- Mountain villages and UNESCO churches in the Troodos, with a tasting at a family winery
- The wild nature of the Akamas peninsula, by boat or on foot
- The birthplace of Aphrodite and the mosaics of Paphos
- Dinner every evening where the Cypriots themselves eat — we're happy to share tips for the best local restaurants and tavernas
How your trip begins
You land in Cyprus and drive half an hour to your first base on the east coast. The first days are for arriving: a swim in crystal-clear water, a first walk along the cliffs and meze in a seaside taverna in the evening. Then the journey slowly moves west — every leg feels like a new country.
Your trip, tailor-made
This is a sample trip: the exact route, pace and accommodation are fully tailored to your wishes, travel companions and season. Niki puts together your personal programme, including her own tips for every day.
When to go
year-roundPlenty of variety without the peak heat
Spring and autumn suit villages, archaeology and short walks particularly well. In summer we schedule outdoor visits early or later in the day and leave room for the coast.
We adapt the day plan and activities to the weather, local conditions and any seasonal opening hours.
