Paphos and the Akamas together form the most varied part of western Cyprus. Around Paphos are archaeological sites and lively terraces; farther north the landscape becomes quieter, with Polis, Latchi harbour and the undeveloped Akamas coast.
Why stay here
This is a strong base for travellers who do not want to choose between culture, walking and the sea. Distances are manageable, but Lara Beach and parts of the Akamas involve unpaved roads and require a suitable vehicle.
